MISSION // DynamiCSS is Chinese Student Society at NYU's annual benefit showcase to highlight student talent through a competition and performances, which also features the headliner of 2017: Dumbfoundead.

Although CSS had a general color to use, Dumbfoundead's marketing team also had an image to maintain. All graphics work were to be sent to them for approval first. This is a contrast against 2016's design which we had free reign over.

I went with a simple design as it would be neater and more neutral. The designs always highlight Dumbfoundead as he was the main pull of the show and the audience absolutely adored his presence.

Instead of going for a more galaxy, hypnotic theme, DynamiCSS 2017 designs were focused on Dumbfoundead and maintaining a simple aesthetic for the show.
CONCEPT // A clean aesthetic used to showcase and highlight the headliner. The splash of orange on the poster and promotional materials added color and vibrance on top of the more faded promotional image we were given.

The rectangular version of the graphics fit (a) the old Facebook event cover photo dimensions and (b) the promotional TV in the venue. The square version is multi-purpose and can be used for profile pictures or for Instagram. The last rectangular version was meant to incorporate our lantern theme and for our initial headliner reveal.
PERFORMERS/COMPETITORS
The show would not be possible without our wonderful student performers and competitors. The general theme and design are the same for both and I have included samples above to differentiate their acts and to emphasize DynamiCSS 2017.
